Following is an excerpt from Grievous Offense:
Several nights he'd stayed after all the lights were off and had seen her sitting on the balcony wearing nothing but a long tee shirt. He'd stood in a copse of trees to the side of the townhouse, watching as she hiked the shirt up before sitting down, then saw it ride up even further on her legs as she propped her bare feet up on the rail, a wanton disregard for common decency. He was mesmerized by the sight of her bare thighs in the moonlight, and could only imagine, with her knees bent high and her legs slightly apart, what a front view would be like. He hated to admit it, but she was a cute little thing - cute, but sadly damaged.
It would be so easy to slip inside the garage and into the house, to do her right there, in her own place. Of course, that wouldn't conform to his plan. No, this was not the time or the place. He wanted to take his time with this one. She needed to repent for what she'd done, needed to know the damage she had caused. And most of all, needed to know that the end was near. Very, very near.
